Not surprising when their predictions were based on models they KNEW were not tracking things like permafrost/methane hydrate feedback loops. I asked a Scripps Institute of Oceanography lecturer about that in the '90's and was told "We chose to focus on other things". I guess reality is choosing to focus on ALL the things.
