The Intelligent Life of the City Raccoon
Toronto resident Simon Treadwell wheeled a garbage bin onto a snow-bound lot next to his property one evening this past winter. We had racoons that used to get into our trash all the time, these little bastards are so good at it now that we leave the trash in a padlocked shed!
They are astoundingly smart. When I volunteered at a wildlife shelter, I refused to work with them.
