Entertainment is getting better, but TV has remain the same ol' nonsense. Cable companies don't give a damn about the content they're delivering-- just that there's enough of it that you want that you're willing to pay for another 100 channels that you don't want.
To me, the question isn't "is it time to cut the cord?" but "is my internet connection up to the task of streaming HD media?" There are far too many options online (shameless self-promotion) to pay monthly subscription fees.
