The same reason they can't go to the store, hang out at the park, have a job...

    They're in jail.

I don't think prisoners should be able to vote.

However, felons, who are not in prison, should have their voting rights and firearms rights restored. If you're not in jail, you shouldn't have to live like a second-class citizen, with limited rights, especially for things that are necessities for being a good citizen (ie voting, home defense, family-raising, etc)

Now, you might say "Well, what about sex offenders? They have to register and can't go certain places." The difference is that they can vote, and own firearms (some of them, unless they have some other case or some such situation in addition to their RSO case). They DO have an extra burden to bear, but that's the price of what they've done.

Voting should be universal to all FREE CITIZENS.

    Definitely better than the Clinton's!

But, the Gates Foundation has extensive infrastructure in many third-world countries and that makes a big difference in terms of efficiency. There's so much good that GF is able to do with their connections.

It's essential that countries have organizations like this to help them rather than have to rely on the WorldBank and then end up worse off than when they started! A lot of countries that receive World Bank aid, particularly in Latin America, have SIGNIFICANTLY worse poverty levels now than before they received the aid. World Bank is depleting countries of their natural resources for pennies on the dollars to pay for loans that they had no chance of being able to pay while being more or less economically forced to take the loan or let their people starve.

BMGF is helping countries figure out agriculture (especially tropical agriculture), medicine (especially infectious diseases), economics (especially for the poorest people), all the necessities of a thriving society, without making corrupted deals for oil on their way out.

So, it's very important that the money goes through the foundation, to be most efficiently divided and redistributed to areas of the most need.

He's such an entertaining Bond. I thought Spectre was really good, not quite as good as Skyfall but still a head above most other action-thrillers.

    Is this surprising?

Four major islamic terror attacks in 2016 there, and AfD is advocating for safer streets and safer schools for children. Schoolchildren are having to walk past dangerous refugee camps, people were raped en-masse, primarily women.

Germany has to start making drastic changes in order to survive, the average German citizen is realizing this.

He disavowed White Nationalist groups and Antifa groups NUMEROUS times on his Twitter.

Anybody who uses violence for politics is by definition a terrorist. KKK and Antifa are equally guilty, equally atrocious, equally un-American

This seems like the most obvious place to begin automation. If the world shifts to a basic income safety net, it'll be rad that we can also feed people while robots take over our jobs and plot to harvest us for energy.

We'll have wheat though, and other stuff, so I'm sure we'll manage.

If Trump loses the election, I am strongly considering expatratiating to Russia. They seem to have all the right components of a modern, sane country. I am so disgusted and disappointed with the US lately. I am currently in the process of joining the US Army to protect my country, and if I can ever get all this paperwork done I certainly intend to serve my time, but if I have to serve my 4 years under a liberal president, then that will be it.

There are so many people here who think that a Socialist Jew should be president, or that a war-criminal who is reponsible for the deaths of an uncountable number of people, and endangered countless others through poor information security should be president, and I just can't understand it.

Say what you want about Trump, and honestly, say it. Trump has ran one of the most innovative campaigns in the history of this country. I was really excited back in 2007 watching Obama's campaign, all the political tips and tricks and just the overall finesse of how he managed his image was amazing, but Trump flips the table on all of that. Trump literally said that he could shoot someone in the middle of FIfth avenue (one block away from me!) and that people would still support him, and i think he's right. Trump has captured the spirit of people who believe that we can WORK our way into prosperity rather than SCHEME and STEAL our way there, and he fosters the ideals of a group of people who are ready to work, who are ready to get their hands dirty, who actually believe in the principles that make America a great idea, rather than pandering to a bunch of people who are offended at one thing or another. Personal feelings, what is 'offensive' or not, has NO place in politics to begin with. We are a world superpower and we need to fucking act like it, and start burning some grass, kicking up some dust, and getting our gloves and boots dirty.

Putin has his faults, but you gotta love the guy. He sticks to his guns and seems like a real cowboy type of guy. I think the whole dilution this article is talking about is just common sense. Neutrality is a one-way street, politically. It's really hard to unsay things, so it's usually better to just keep it scaled back a bit, and not appear like you're really eager about anything or anyone. On top of that, he's got his own country to run, and I think he realizes that the US election, while important, is secondary to remaining an effective role model for Russia.

The idea of centralized internet has always been flawed.

WIthout some sort of meshnet, there will always be room for state actors or motivated individuals to splice into fiber cables, or lurk public wifi spots, things of that nature. If we are not in control of the transmission of our own data, the data has no intrinsic integrity beyond public-key encryption. Even with PK, there is still metadata attacks, the potential to just store huge amounts of data to be cracked later. (NSA Colorado)

The solution is to own our data, use strong-crypto, use strong anti-correlation procedures, avoid the creation of metadata, and to remain highly suspcious and aware of what our adversaries (the govt) are up to.

I like how easy it is to travel around the US. I have had the opportunity to see over 25 states, and it's always great to have that freedom in mind of "Oh, well I can just get in my car and go literally anywhere I want" in the US.
