Agnostic Atheist would be closest. Please feel free to correct me. I believe in a spiritual energy but not a God. I don't believe believe that there is there is someone looking down on us and and judging.

Well, you can believe in an impersonal god and still be a theist. That's what deists are. They believe that something (some god) created the universe, but that god doesn't step in and affect the workings of the universe.

I take issue with the word God because I picture an old white man with a beard, wearing robes, and looking angry. Universal energy sounds better or higher energy sounds more like it. Does that still fall in line with a deist?

I guess it depends upon whether the "higher energy" is a conscious being or just a force, like gravity. If it's not a conscious being, then I wouldn't call it deist.
