PornHub's traffic drops by 5 per cent during Game of Thrones season 7 premiere
PornHub's website traffic dropped by 4.5 per cent in the United States during the Game of Thrones season seven premier. The site's statisticians looked at the traffic across the US and found it was down by 4.5 per cent during the airing compared to an average Sunday evening. The x-rated site said: 'That’s a considerable change in visitors as Sunday night is one of the most popular times for people to visit PornHub.'

I'm guessing there are really sexy-looking actors/actresses in Game of Thrones? I don't watch TV much so call me clueless.
Game of Thrones has attractive folks in it. They put the term "sexposition" into the lexicon, as they frequently would have more boring details pertaining to geography, families, politics, world building in general, delivered when some sort of cheesecake or beefcake was on screen.
That being said, this is less about people tuning out for attractive actors/actresses, and more about pornhub making use of their particular data set to comment about world or popular culture events. Suddenly when a good chunk of the world is discussing the season primiere of Game of Thrones, they are now also talking about how it intersected with pornhub. I knew they did this type of thing before, easy enough to find this image, from their year in review.
