An FCC commissioner calls on Apple and Google to remove TikTok from their app stores, saying it's a national security risk
In a letter to the Apple and Google CEOs, Brendan Carr wrote that TikTok is "not just an app for sharing funny videos or memes."

Anybody with two brain cells to rub together could find it without an app,so this is useless info.
National security risk: an uncontrollable outlet for dissent. And, of course, a popular non-American business that undermines their own (financial) interests or that of their lobbyists (like those from Meta, for instance).
