100 miles from the border is considered a constitution free zone basically, the ACLU made an article that covered this not too long ago and it covers the majority of US citizens where border patrol can search your electronics whenever they want and if you refuse they can seize them. So... this is not a Trump problem but an American civil liberties problem.
Yup. It's funny how they're trying to pin all these issues on Trump. I'm not a Trump sympathizer at all, but civil liberties have been increasingly trampled in America for a while. Actually I would argue that, in recent history, the Obama administration has been the biggest civil liberties destroyer by far. They're trying to blame Trump for a lot of stuff that was established by Obama.
It's easier to get people upset against a boogeyman they hate than one they liked is the only thing I've got on the reasons why this is coming back up now. Other than somebody that got caught up in it is somebody of some importance.
