Very interesting but the only source being a student paper does make me suspicious.
It will be interesting to see if the results stand up to rigorous testing. I do like the concept that it has the possibility of using space junk to power the engine.
The title is a bit misleading, it sounds like some high school student created this. The student is a PhD candidate, yes he's still student but he didn't fall off the turnip truck last week either.
