Commented in Vegan dog diet is healthiest and safest, large-scale study finds
Except dogs are not vegans. You want a pet that does not eat meat, get a rabbit. Ok,two bonded, neutered rabbits from a shelter is your best bet,but I digress. Anyway,it bothers me a lot that people feed animals what they did not evolve to eat. Dogs and cats have short intestines (like us) and do not have plant digesting micro flora either (nor do most humans,(except Japanese.).
Compare a rabbit, cow,vs a dog's cat's or human's GI system and you will see what I mean. Most birds (including chickens) are also omnivorous, but end up being fed mainly grains, leading to obesity, fatty liver.
I volunteered in wildlife rehab for six years. Only feed animals what they evolved to eat was pounded into our heads with a sledge hammer. All this forcing the whole world to be vegan will lead to a number of detrimental consequences,as I have discussed before. One size does not fit all.

Commented in Companies joining the Facebook ad boycott risk their bottom lines to take a stand
Leave the big dog alone before it starts biting back! I use FB to market to specific clients with decent success for pennies on the dollar...why would I stop doing that?!

Commented in Dogs’ brains ‘not hardwired’ to respond to human faces
So smiling at a dog means nothing and they ID us humans by smell.

Commented in How to blur your house on Google Street View (and why you should)
For those who will go to the lengths to do this, more power to them. I think with my alarm system, watch dog, and friends Smith and Wesson I will be just fine if someone can count my windows or see my chinaware and decides they want them more than I do.

Commented in Colin Kaepernick & Impossible Foods Plan To Feed 1 Million People
Feeding a million people processed glop they did not evolve to eat. Nice/s You would not feed a dog this way,but somehow it's ok to feed a human this way,but it's all about $$$. I only recently found out about plant steroids ans the dangers of seed oils, like Canola. The heart hypothesis was debunked ages ago.

Commented in Big Beef Says Eating More Meat Can Save the Planet. That's Bullshit.
No it's not. Forcing all omnaviours to just eat plants is bullshit, especially the one in 12 and one in 100 of us who have GI diseases. If I ate like a vegan,I'd be sick as a dog. I usually ignore pro vegan posts here, but day before yesterday I got my first endoscopy and my 4th colonoscopy and stuff showed up + biopsies were taken. I'm waiting for my results. GI Doc will be out of town for a week but promised ti call me when he gets back.
Needless to say I am worried and in a pissy mood.

Commented in You can't offer to murder cops on Reddit unless you're on r/TheDonald
As someone that's been watching /r/all every now and again for an embarrassingly long time, I've been blown away watching /r/The_Donald wagging the Reddit dog for so long. The more the Reddit admins try to bury it, the more obvious it is that they're absentee landlords not quite up to the job. Reddit, like most link aggregators, is a form of usury.
Then again I remember T_D's founder, /u/jcm267, from /r/Politics back in the day. So yeah, I don't have a lot of trouble making all the goose-stepping and sieg-heiling out to be what it is. Persecution fantasies fueling fantasies of persecuting are part and parcel of brownshirt outfits like that. Not everyone has the grace, the tact of a /u/SuperconductiveRabbi.
Angry brigading mobs being what they are, and that moderation team being what they are, I'm not going to second guess Reddit's limits on T_D. Mind you, I've been mistreated by Reddit corporate in my own ways. I'm not blind to their many, many fatal flaws, ruinous choices, and backwards policies. I don't think Reddit admins are uniformly Democrats working to suppress the deplorables, the way some might. I think they're more of an iron law of institutions shop.
Will say though, if your fascist movement depends on a platform like Reddit, it's not really your movement, is it? It's Reddit's. There're still brigadiers here from T_D, but then they don't pull the same antic shit here either. Conversation's better for it. That's what Reddit was supposed to be about. You know, in Aaron Swartz days, R.I.P.

Commented in Achieving success is simpler than you think
I remember very clearly, I was in a pretty hostile(I am pretty good in those, so I've heard) environment, I was asked to go there and learn from The Boss of that domain, pretty specialized, for sure. Anyway they gave me the lowliest of jobs when I went there, learned, and did them well. Not satisfied with success, they made it harder to succeed, in their environment. Still it went on until one day the big dog in charge asked me..."What do you want to be?!" My only answer was that I wanted to be successful.
What makes you successful, you define, not others.

Commented in Congress Is About to Blow Its Chance to Save Net Neutrality
But of course...Both parties have been paid off by you-know-who. This just shows us neither party is worth a bag of festering dog shit and at the end of the day, they had rather screw us over for a buck than do the right thing.

Commented in Morning Joe wants to know why Fox News suddenly stopped talking about the caravan
Dog whistling was — at least to non-racists — subtle. Trump's just an out-and-out ignorant bigot.

Commented in Morning Joe wants to know why Fox News suddenly stopped talking about the caravan
Basically some old fashioned racist dog whistling engineered to drive their viewers to the polls. And it works every single time.
