Small Feature I just discovered (in Notifications)

So this might be old news for a lot of people, but maybe useful for all the other newbies: in the Notification History, click the 'gear' icon and it allows you to filter what sort of notifications you get! I personally took out the leveling up ones, bc they take a lot of real estate in that window. Once you edit the filters, refresh the notification page and you'll see the new view.

Again, this is no major discovery, but small things like this make me really enjoy this site.

    Math Teacher: Pre-Algebra through Calculus

I've worked as a math tutor through high school and college, and just finished my first year as a jr high math teacher. Given my job I usually work with preteens, but can teach really any area in math up through Calculus. I'm a bit rusty on my Calc 3, but if you have questions I can probably help you through it.

    [Features] Improvement for Up/Down Arrows

    Redirected here from /t/lounge.

So I noticed that the up/downvote arrows only appear when hovered over. Which seems cool, however it does back going back to browse a page more difficult. On reddit (I know, I know, an overused comparison), I could glance at a page, see my orangered arrows, and quickly pass over content I've already read. Several times already, I moved to upvote a comment, then saw I had already voted on it. Which seems a bit frustrating for me, though it might just be anxiety over a new system.

But I do like the fact vote counts are generally obscured on the page. Would it be possible to just show the green/red up/downvote arrow next to a comment once voted? Don't change anything until you vote, but once you do it simply shows that you already voted on a comment. Hovering over it would show both arrows and the vote count still, as usual.

I'm not married to this idea if someone has a better way of doing it, but I would like to see some way to visually mark comments I've voted on when revisiting posts.

Request for UI improvements in Up/Down arrows

I have no idea if there is a better tribe to post this in, but this seemed as good as any and better than most.

So I noticed that the up/downvote arrows only appear when hovered over. Which seems cool, though it's been too soon for me to form an opinion on.

However, it does back going back to browse a page more difficult.

Would there be someway to permanently display arrows once you've voted? Like, appearance is normal until I vote, then that vote stay visible even when I move my cursor away. I think that'd be helpful for me as I return to read posts and discussions, and hopefully wouldn't be too difficult to implement...

Or does someone have a better idea?
