People are beginning to call it the hiatus-season. If they picked up weekly episodes around Halloween (which is a Saturday) it'll run long enough for a Christmas episode in december. So that would make sense... but who wants to wait for so long?

Why would they do this? I need my pony! Really, though, it seems odd to randomly put in a hiatus in the middle of a season. Maybe they're trying to get their season schedule back to starting in fall and ending in spring? Would have been awesome if they finished up this season in mid-September and just continued into the sixth season the next month.
