I think once an "individual" gets a taste for life and that concept of existence becomes a realization that one day it will cease to be... people will get scared since everything they have ever known will cease to exist forever. Sort of a shitty thought, and I can understand why individuals are willing to believe anything that makes that feeling go away.
As am I. Knowing we have such a brief moment is scary,no way around it.
