This Amazing Scanner Will Allow Doctors to See Your Insides in High Definition
Doctors at a Florida hospital get up close to bones, organs and veins, without making a single cut. General Electric released images on Wednesday from its first clinical trial of a next generation body scanner that captures bones, blood vessels and organs in high-definition. The patients ride into the chamber of the scanner, dubbed “Revolution CT,” where a fan-shaped beam of x rays passes down their bodies and a computer reconstructs a digital model of the body, slice-by-slice.

The pessimist in me wonders who will be able to afford such a scan.
The optimist in me is giddy that this reminds me of something out of Star Trek.
Personally, the optimist in me thinks it will be widely used in medicine within 5 years as technology keeps improving. Lets hope it happens!
Totally agree with you, Improbability. Nowdays the scannning is expensive. When they start using this new technology it will be impossible for the normal person to afford such a procedure.
All big hospitals will get it as soon as it is available.
Yep, it won't be cheap but it will be much more thorough.
