The Disappearance of the World’s Greatest Free Diver
It seems clear that the great free diver Natalia Molchanova is dead. She was diving last Saturday off the coast of Spain, giving lessons to a rich Russian, when she made a dive of her own and didn’t return. She was almost surely the greatest diver in the history of her sport, which, as mentioned in The New Yorker in 2009, is sometimes described as the world’s second most dangerous activity, after jumping off skyscrapers with parachutes.

She died doing what she loved most, and left a great mark in the history of the sport. I'd say that's a fitting end for the lady.
I would have to agree, she went out in her prime so her image is forever remembered as such.
True but it is a shame that she has left us and it seems her body may never be recovered.
Oh completely. I'm not saying her death is something to be glad about of course. But we all have to go someday, and considering her life, I just think it's fitting for the legend she's become, and is sure to stay.
