This sounds like the opening premise of a moderately worthwhile 'B' movie.
Id watch it!
It would probably win an Oscar.
And watching as the slow train wreck starts up.

it may cause fewer side effects than either.
the only thing left before I'm sold is the effects on your body/brain. If I could use this to stay awake indefinitely, what kind of damage could that do?

The 3rd thing you're wondering about is essentially my biggest concern. If I was to pull a 100-150 hour work session, I wouldn't want there to be even a remote chance that I can die or go into some sort of coma due to something that my body was missing that it naturally found in sleep. The fact that the effect of this drug does not make me feel like I'm amped up on caffeine is amazing, really want more research on this!
