N.J. 'Tiny House Pilot Program' can provide affordable alternatives
Sometimes it pays to think small. A case in point is a bill recently introduced in the state Senate that would create a three-year “Tiny House Pilot Program” in which the state would award grants to build housing developments consisting of homes with an average of 300 square feet of floor space. The idea is that these Lilliputian homes would be an affordable way to shelter poor and homeless people in New Jersey.
