Mother of irony, seems like skiing is more dangerous than Formula 1.
Skiing was always a dangerous sport, thats why its recommended to wear head gear. I noticed a lot of ski resorts now ask their patrons to wear protective head wear.
Sure it's dangerous but this guy has spent half of his life with helmet on his head driving the fastest car in a world and now his life is in danger because of skiing injury...

True story.
How come he suffered such a severe injury if he was wearing a helmet? Unless it hit the rock so hard it shattered..
A rock could easily shatter a helmet, but the problem with hitting a rock at such speed is the brain injury one can suffer just from the shock alone.
That's it. I've held off getting a helmet for years, but now I will most certainly before going out on the mountain again.
Smart choice. They aren't even that "uncool" anymore. I see tons of people wearing them nowadays.
Get well buddy.
