Kill Off Software Patents
The Supreme Court has a chance to give innovation a boost this year by rolling back one of the country’s most economically stupid policies. With the case of Alice Corporation v. CLS Bank International, the justices will dive into the issue of whether companies should be able to patent computer software.

I don't have a lot of faith the SC will do the right thing. I hope I'm wrong.
There is always hope.
The whole patent system, just like the record industry is an out dated model, running on outdated principles. Technology is advancing much quicker than it was a hundred years ago, people no longer need the protection of the patent ideology. At this point, the whole concept reversed itself, the fat cats sitting in their billion dollar thrones are the ones that threaten innovation. Everyone else is trying to move forward, without all of the bullshit attached. The real innovators don't give two fucks about patents, they know in a year or two they will have moved so far ahead with what they are working on that It wont matter.
