A very optimistic outlook, one I hope we humans can achieve. I fear given our current climate of violence, greed, and destruction this version of utopia will be challenging to achieve. I think we all know what needs to be done to create a better future for upcoming generations, and most of us will make at least some effort in that regard. The question is will the people with the power, the wealth, and the wherewithal do their part? And will we all be invited on the journey?

I think once people start adjusting to the concept of living for 200-300 years instead of just 80-85, they will start to plan for the long run. Humans are a greedy species, so the sooner we can achieve immortality, the sooner our rich and powerful will think far into the future and not just in their immediate mortality range.

I agree with your thinking. It really is all this short term want over long term need that is destroying us and our habitat. Off the top, a few things come to mind leading me to know there would be quite a bit of interesting discussion around this topic. For example: just imagine the porn industry with 200 year old talent (because there will always be porn.) Would we still revere youth? With longevity or even immortality, food, living spaces, and industry would have to be completely rethought. What an exciting conversation that will be! If we all get on the same page with common goals and put in the effort, we can achieve anything. We just have to want it.
