The Human–Computer Institute at Carnegie Mellon has found that your “passive consumption” of your friends’ feeds and your own “broadcasts to wider audiences” on Facebook correlate with feelings of loneliness and even depression.

Definitely agree about the passive following. They don't follow, just creep and get angry about their own lives instead of making a change. Don't put your shit on me! Social media is such a double-edged sword. I like it but at the same time it can cause a lot of problems.
