It's more than likely they'll move to just repealing at this point, and when that happens you can believe the good and wonderful insurance lobby will be there waiting to craft a new "better" bill to "fix the system."
Edit: I tend to be on the conservative end of the moderate scale, I am not against a system like that in the UK, I'm just scared of the price to pay to get it. For me, it all comes down to the costs and taxes that I don't want to pay. What most people think with single payer though is Canada I believe where it's not a partnership of public and private insurance options but just a public option. Unless I read that wrong.
