This. I bet theTrump camp are doing their happy dance. I heard this on the radio going to work this morning (I live outside the USofA) and almost turned round and went back home. Being brought to tears aside, all day has been spent trying to explain how a person gets hold of an AR-15 like gun.
Well, from my limited experience, many or perhaps I should say the majority, of voting American's will not consider giving up any individual privileges for the betterment of the whole society. It's simply not a part of the culture for the individual to sacrifice for the good of all.
To be brutal, if the killing of 20 children +6 adults isn't enough to propel both sides of the issue to the table to begin discussing change, nothing will. Clearly, it's a multi-faceted issue which needs a multi-faceted approach (accessibility limitations, education, mental health, sharing of information across agencies, and so on.. oh wait and money).
Sadly, this too will simple become another statistic.
