    The comments are interesting...

    ...I read the CDC report you are claiming to be writing about. It said that the effectiveness for children 6 month to age 17 was 23%. You got that right. But you failed, intentionally, to add that the CDC reported the effectiveness was only 12% for people aged 18 to 49, and 14% for people over fifty.

    So, there seems to be a little slant in this news report. 23% effective for children, less than half that effective for anyone older than 17.

    I recall reading a story a few years back where the flu jumped the species barrier and infected cats. (that's called 'reverse zoonosis'). It's terribly virulent and changes often.

    personally, I don't take the shot. I see no point. If I get sick, then I take off a few days and work it out.
