i find it difficult to read non-fiction nowadays. Maybe I'll try one or two of these, but anytime I'm reading non-fiction I'll start off strong but by about 10% of the book I've lost interest and reading one page a day instead of 30-40 pages a day.

What would you say is making you loose interest?

I'm not exactly sure. I think the main factor is that I would rather read science fiction. I guess I read most of my non-fiction on the internet. I read about new scientific studies and current events and other interesting topics on websites. Maybe in my mind I've gotten to where my kindle is for fiction and my computer is for non-fiction. There have been times where I forgot my kindle and wanted to keep reading but I can't read more than a couple pages of fiction on my computer.

You make a valid point. There is a time and place for everything and if you get most of your non-fiction from other sources why struggle with it on a medium that requires sustained attention which you would rather use for things that can actually hold your interest.
