Canterbury astronomers make ‘one in a million’ discovery
Canterbury astronomers have found an incredibly rare new large Earth-like planet in the Milky Way galaxy. The planet is one of only a handful that have been discovered with both a size and orbit comparable to that of Earth. The Canterbury University planet hunters’ research has recently been published in The Astronomical Journal.
