Australian man tries to rob gas station with boomerang, flees when it fails to return

The 31-year-old allegedly tried to rob the Shell outlet in Tarragindi, south of Brisbane in Queensland, with the weapon on Sunday.

    "The man entered the service station and threatened a man behind the counter with the boomerang," a Queensland police spokesman told BuzzFeed Australia. "He was later arrested but was not charged," he added. "He appeared in court in relation to public nuisance."
