Germany charges a 10% import tariff on cars made in the US....it has an additional 19% VAT charge, which is an internal thing, not an import charge. The US charges 2.5 % on cars coming from Germany. It would be fair to tell them to match the US rate or the US will raise to the same as theirs....but saying he will stop German cars from coming to the US is just plain silly....ever the drama queen this guy.
