Donald Trump’s family’s trips have cost taxpayers nearly as much in a month as Barack Obama’s cost in an entire year. The US President’s three visits to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida since his presidential inauguration, combined with his sons’ business trips, reportedly cost $11.3m (£9.1m).

Totally unacceptable!
This figure also doesn't include the costs of Melania and Barron staying in NYC instead of moving to the White House (a conservative estimate is $300k/day). Republicans were outraged that Obama's MIL stayed with them in the Whitehouse, but it is far cheaper to protect people in one residence (particularly one designed for the purpose) than multiple locations. With Trump and his wife and four adult children all living separately, that is six separate families to guard. And with Melania living in one of the hardest locations to effectively guard, it is an expensive nightmare.
