Still wondering how far the Chinese economy can fall. When I was in Kunming in 2003, there were half finished buildings that had been left since the economic crisis in 1998. Between 03 and my second visit in 09, the city had changed so much, there was activity everywhere with new houses coming up and new roads being built. I couldn't recognize the road from the airport even though I knew I had taken it before.
I'm not sure how far it can fall, but what worries me as much is how far down it could bring other economies with it.
