Hopefully they can find a niche. I think the interface/functionality is rather good.
They could try targeting it at certain communities. If it takes hold there it might build. But facebook as a strangle hold on that sort of thing at this point.

I think we've already seen the cracks in the future of higher education. Dropping the SAT/ACT. Free community colleges. Ridiculous job requirements, or "highly desired" of Master's and PhDs for entry level positions. It's all money driven bullshit.
The two things I learned in college that I still use today.
1. nose grease is awesome at taking the head off beer and soda 2. it's ok to like both Bozo the Clown and Shakespeare.
