The shootout ends with Hank and Gomez dying at the scene and Jessie critically injured. Walt, rushes Jessie to the hospital. Marie finds out about her husband's demise, and in a fit of rage collects all evidence and heads over to the DEA to expose Walter. Jessie slips into a coma, meanwhile the Heizengang attempts to force Walt to keep his word about the cook he promised. The DEA finds Hank and Gomez and their bullet riddled car, but the money is long gone. Walter is now on the DEA's radar and must flee. His house is boarded up, and he's all over the news.

Skylar has a heart to heart with her sister Marie, and somehow they are able to reconcile as long as Skylar testifies against Walter. Walter is pissed about what the Heizengang did to Hank and Jesse, so he booby traps the cook and escapes killing only Todd. The Heizengang realizes what Walter has done, and uses their resources to track down and kill Walter and his family. Walter calls Skylar to warn her, Marie calls the DEA and goes into witness protection. Walter leaves the state and lays low.

Walter gets a phone call from Jessie's girlfriend, she tells him Jessie didn't make it. Walter decides to put down the monster he created, and buys an M60 from a Dennys parking lot. Walter meets with Lydia and poisons her with the Ricin, only after she tells him where the Heizengang is. Final shootout, Walter kills everyone but gets critically injured, however the sound of the shootout attracts the cops and Walter gets saved. The last scene shows Skylar now divorced, testifying against a frail Walter in court while her family watches in horror.
