Anti-terror police raid Paris hotel near Eiffel Tower as area evacuated amid 'false alarm'
Heavily-armed police have evacuated the area around the Paris Eiffel tower and the surrounding Champ de Mars park in a false alarm. Anti-terror police were spotted at the Pullman Hotel on Avenue de Suffren near the Eiffel tower, according to an eyewitness, who lives along Champ de Mars. He declined to be identified. Another witnesses also confirmed the presence of heavily armed police at the site of the hotel.
