I read the book "Lost City of the Monkey God" last year and it was about an expedition to find a large settlement by an unknown tribe, it was really cool and talked about this technology, and how most archaeology experts hated it and thumbed their noses at it. I wish I still had the book to quote from it, but it was by Douglas Preston. Basically, this technology verifies what Percy Fawcett believed, there was a massive civilization of "advanced" people in the jungle.
