Should vegetarians assume they can eat French fries?
French fries are the vegetarian’s last resort. When all the sandwiches on a menu contain meat and even the side of Brussels sprouts is fried in bacon, trusty fries are there like a port in a storm. Unless they’re fried in beef tallow.

I'm not sure what's the point of being vegetarian (or vegan) if you're eating french fries from a fast-food restaurant.
Exactly. But the beef tallow is not really news, they've been using it for decades. It's how they manage to get them to taste the same no matter which country you go to.
In the doc' Fathead,it was stated McDonalds switched from tallow to veg, oil ages ago.
Unless you believe in Mr. Potatohead, fries at a greasy spoon satisfy the demands of the creed "nothing from anyone with a face."
