These figures are from the Trussel Trust which has been accused of "aggressive marketing" of the idea of the need to expand their empire of food banks. Left wing politicians like to attack the Tory government, but don't actually like the food banks -- not being a state enterprise. The contributors tend to be members of the Christian churches. There is concern that donating to a food bank could replace more effective and useful ways to try and change the world.

Has anyone seen a good breakdown of who exactly is using these food banks?
