Forcing a touch interface on desktop computers was definitely a mistake
Of course it was. Every other iteration of OS for Microsoft is a huge blunder. They get their asses handed to them and then they fix what they were told not to do in the next release. They insist on trying to force users to work their way instead of the way users want to work. Make it work better - not different.
Exactly, every time its the same damn thing... they try to reinvent the wheel and then go back to the way things were with their tail between their legs. If for once one of these companies would just hire a team to listen to the users and focus on making sure they create functionality that people actually want. AMC and Netflix seemed to have mastered this art, maybe its time for MS to start listening too.
Everyone gets this but Shuttleworth,Ubuntu's head honcho with his ghastly Unity. Lucky for us Linux users that we can change desktop environments and don't have to use Unity with Ubuntu if we don't want to. (I don't.)
