I hate to be racist, but my dealings with dot-not-feather Indians is that they are crooks. I have not had one satisfactory dealing with a dot-not-feather Indian. Not a single one. They have absolutely destroyed the hotel industry in America with all of their cheap crap. And they are creepy, rapey people. Sorry, I know how that sounds, but it's my personal experience, I wish I could report it differently. Maybe if they changed their culture decent people would think more highly of them?
I've interacted with a lot of people from India. One of my first college roommates was one, and he was an excellent fellow. He was certainly much better than the other two party animals who shared our dorm room.
However, in the IT world there are only a handful of people from India I can say were worth working with. The ones trying to recruit me for IT jobs have all been without exception extremely dishonest. In the interest of being egalitarian I try to give them the opportunity to prove themselves trustworthy, but I'm a lot more cautious when dealing with them than I am with anyone else. Especially when they struggle with basic English.
I hate being racist that way, but it seems like India's IT surge produced a lot of diploma-mill graduates.
