    This is a double-edged sword though. There are, afaik, 4 different variants of the virus, and you don't get cross-immunity from being exposed to one of them. Furthermore, he odds of developing hemorrhagic dengue go up every time you're infected. I had (classical) dengue fever back in college and since then I've been mildly terrified of catching it again.
