Seriously. It's like all the people we send to Washington to do a job get lobotomized half-way there.
"Space Exploration? Nah, our planet's fine."
"Climate change? Nah, our planet's fine."
The ignorance would be inexcusable. Luckily, the simpler explanation is greed. Those huge energy corporations that spend billions of dollars lobbying have proven that a few bucks right now are more valuable than the future of humanity. Go figure.
