This is so messed up on many levels. Literally anyone living in a regular home can be a victim.
And Trump wants to give MORE military style weapons to regular police?!
They've been selling surplus to the police for many years, since Iraq. It went on under Obama for his whole term and very little notice or alarm was displayed. This is a program that goes beyond any one president, much deeper.
What do you suppose should be done? I mean what can even be done?
It's a good question. I'm going to look into who authorised this process. Seems industry , military and Congress would have to be involved...and I wonder if it was done after WW11, Korea and Vietnam....or is this a recent development.
