Australia Bans Cash For All Purchases Over $7,500 Starting July of 2019
Australia’s Liberal Party government has announced that it will soon be illegal to purchase anything over $10,000 AU ($7,500 US) with cash. The government says it’s, “encouraging the transition to a digital society,” and cracking down on tax evasion. But not everyone is happy with the move.

That will be lowered in steps until all cash transactions become illegal.
But it's for your own good, citizen.
And pick up that can.
If anything, cash transactions are safer than non-cash: it's not like a check that can bounce, etc. I bet some retailers are unhappy about this too, not just citizens who value privacy.
And the cash in your pocket can't be hacked.
Ridiculous. I like to use cash because it's private, not because I plan on breaking the law.
