I put this up as a text post in my lounge thread, but thought it might deserve it's own snap.

For me, at least, it felt like a high barrier to entry. Usually I'm really into a dark world-feel. For some reason or another, the opening chapters just haven't grabbed me.

That said, I've just started dating a girl who's really into Dune, so I'll probably read through it soon as something to discuss with her.

OK! There's no discussion yet, and normally I wouldn't shitpost, but I feel like bolstering this.

The fact that she sent this from Kentucky, even if she's not from there, as a Kentuckian from the area around Toyota North America HQ, is just the cherry on the shit cake.

Personally, I felt that was under-supported and that moment felt very silly when it happened. SF Debris' review suggests that the writers were trying to imply an eating disorder, that a love for food was one of the few things keeping Kyoko from turning witch, since every other part of her suggested she was on the brink of turning.

I felt it was an OK decision to make the characters less complex and conform more to expected patterns, but all that's why my avatar is Asuka instead of Homura.

It's a super small town, filled mostly with older folks. The back roads are deserted.

Unfortunately, I'll be moving in about three weeks back to the 'States, so not many montages left to make I think.

But now I have a new social media account to manage.

So that's a good trade.
