Agreed. My mum had paranoid schizophrenia. Once she got ill enough to have to go to hospital, within 24 hours she would be fine and drug compliant again (phew) but they would still insist on extending her enforced stay from three days to 28, "to give her a rest". Not a rest at all, more like purgatory.

Yes, the default is not to believe anything you say and to treat you like an idiot. When I visited the nurses were all very friendly. Ha.
