"To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue,"

It is indeed a gay / lesbian problem. The problem being you think what you believe trumps the law of the land. The same excuse was used to keep blacks and whites from marrying each other. So either do your job,or go work at your church where you don't have to deal with anyone but people just like you.

I saw a comment on the article that said she has remarried various times and has a child out of wedlock, things that are also prohibited by her Bible. Not only that, she's enacting a paradox: If she obeys God and stops issuing licenses to gay people, she breaches her oath of office which included a promise before a Bible to carry out her duties, something she can't do if she stops issuing licenses. A juicy and convenient contradiction, I say!

Why thank you ever so much!

ASHLAND, Ky. A federal judge ordered Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis into the custody of federal marshals Thursday until she is ready to resume issuing marriage licenses.

Good. Let's see how long it takes for her to cave in. I suspect she will continue to milk it for what it's worth till the next big whatever comes along and she's forgotten once her 15 minutes of fame are done and over with. gets popcorn.

I like the way you think!

Once more,an American makes a mountain out of a molehill. Now all the religious can moan and groan that they are being persecuted and discriminated against cause it's ok for them to do it to others, but not so good when they get a taste of their own medicine.

Except that she's not rrreeeaaalllyyyy being discriminated against. She's refusing to do her job. I don't know about you, but if I go into work and refuse to do my job, I'm not going to have a job for very long.
