Yeah, right.
I think this could also come as an age and cultural gap. Me and my friends are always sarcastic with each other, in a joking and un-pointed way. But I know one guy who is a lot older and not from Canada and he takes sarcasm as next-level offensive. He's also an idiot though, so there's that.
