A Workshop with an Opportunity for Publication
I've contributed to Sixfold.org several times now, and I particularly enjoy it because no matter what, the small entry fee pays for objective critiques of my work. There's the chance of being selected for publication, sure -- but I'm also exposing myself to other writers, their work, and their feedback. Especially for people living in small communities without access to knowledgeable readers, the comments left during the vote can be invaluable.
Rejection always tastes better when you get actual feedback instead of a form letter!
Furthermore, the powers-that-be have been refining the process since day one. When I joined the first vote, one of the administrators emailed me regularly to ensure everything worked.
As with Snapzu, the content voted best rises to the top. Submit your work by July 24 to get in on the next vote!
