‘Does MapQuest still exist?’ As a matter of fact, it does.
In the far corner of a typical-looking tech office, past the ping-pong table and medicine balls, past the whiteboard covered with aspirational Post-it notes, there’s an old walk-in storage closet filled with reminders of a different era. In there, the old red MapQuest logo is everywhere: on giveaway knickknacks, on little tech gadgets, tokens from a time when MapQuest had nearly 100 percent of the online mapping market.

Haven't used mapquest in like 10 years. Totally forgot about them since google maps came out.
What about Apple maps :P
Oh god. I was forced to use them for a week or 2 when that notorious IOS update came out.
Bahaha Steve Jobs is still rolling in his grave about that.
Thats what killed it for me too... wasn't even aware they still existed until I read this actually.
Woah I didn't know they started in 1967. That's like almost 50 years ago.
Absolutely survived off of mapquest for years. Old habit, I still use it occasionally.
Fine decision. Google Maps is biased toward putting you on freeways early and often. MapQuest’s savvier with surface streets solutions. And Apple Maps is like a Rodney Dangerfield routine in app form.
I guess I'm old skool, it takes me a while to catch up. Sometimes relying on what you know is best until change becomes inevitable. Thanks!
