BlackBerry ‘Venice’ Android Slider Smartphone Leaked, Heading To AT&T
Let’s be honest here, BlackBerry 10 isn’t exactly a vibrant, thriving operating system. That actually looks like a solid design.
Probably a case of too little, too late, but it certainly LOOKS interesting.
Blackberry has been doing the "too little, too late" game since the iPhone was released. They captured the market, thought they could ride the wave forever, and are now trying to play catchup after being lapped 20 times. It's sad, because I absolutely love and loved all my BB phones.
Does that mean that those of us not living in the US won't be able to get that phone?
If they actually manage to pull off a good android slider phone, I will seriously consider it over whatever the next nexus device is. I really, REALLY miss a hardware keyboard.
I know tons of people who still prefer to type on a keyboard, but have learned to use the touchscreen. If they were able to market this right... I mean I'd use it. I think most people will probably agree that blackberry hardware combined with Android Software would be a pretty good device. Making this an exclusive to one brand phone is a mistake, in today's world you need to be on every vendors network, even video games outside Nintendo have learned this lesson.
When will companies learn that making their phones exclusive to a single carrier almost never works out? Especially true if your brand isn't strong.
