On the flip side of that, I also see people purposely planting invasive species (not realizing they are invasive).... it's idiotic! Actually that aspect was briefly touched on in the article, pointing out the need to be sure that whatever is planted will suit the environment and not be invasive or (on the other hand) need too much attention just to grow.
